017 Christine Pinch & Heidi May
Oil on canvas, 24" x 24"
December 2010
Christine is my lovely wife. She is the co-author of a text-book on Autogenic Therapy; she was a full-time therapist before we moved to Milford Haven in 2002. She is a painter herself, specialising in beach and seascapes.
Heidi is Christine’s niece, her brother Laurence’s daughter. She lives near Inverness. She is deputy Director of Nursing for the Scottish Highlands. It is a high-powered job; we are very proud of her.
Heidi came for a week’s visit in October 2010. We went for a walk at Bosherston Lily Ponds, and on to the beach at Broad Haven South. It was a glorious day so the ladies couldn’t resist a paddle. I was delegated to look after their bags and shoes, so I took the opportunity to photograph them, with this portrait in mind.
